Yves Netzhammer

04.08.2026 — IN MÜNTSCHEMIER, THREE DRAWINGS BY YVES NETZHAMMER SHOW HOW A COLD TECHNIQUE CAN CARRY THE MOST HUMAN OF LINES.

For the book Alchemy in Print, Lorenz Boegli screen-printed three digital drawings by Yves Netzhammer. He printed them in different shades, with a deep, matte line. The three are L'intelligence de la main, which illustrates a text by Nicolas Kenedi, the human senses and eroticism. Boegli is drawn to how Netzhammer uses a cold technique to express something deeply human. He tries to do the same in print, so the human comes through beyond the technique. For him, that starts with reduction: a clear goal, minimal means and no fixation on the tools. Grey board printed with opaque white and one transparent colour gives four colours in only two runs. That is his answer to designers who say they can't afford screen printing: reduce to the max.
