Intense Colours.

25.02.2026 — In his atelier in Müntschemier, Lorenz Boegli explores the boundaries of colour — where pigment becomes emotion.

Colour as substance, not surface. In screen printing, Lorenz Boegli works with pigments that are not reproduced — they are built up. Layer by layer, from marine blue to near-black, a spectrum emerges that reaches far beyond any single tone.

What becomes visible here is maximum saturation — colours absent from standard offset printing, rarely encountered in everyday life. Yet it isn't only about purity. Even a muted colour carries emotion, when complementarity rather than grey creates the depth.

Ultramarine blue carries its own history: from the lapis lazuli skies of Renaissance painting to today's synthetic pigments. The hue outlasts centuries. The material changes. The effect remains.
